Their success is theonly proof that counts.
500+ systems since 2011, and the interesting question was never how many. It is what happened to the companies afterwards. 6 of the ones below were acquired. Others raised the money to keep going, or were judged the best in their category.
We were the engineering team while that happened — and for 500+ of these systems, we still are.
Acquired
Six of them were bought by someone larger.
Corporate philanthropy
Acquired by Blackbaud for $157M
YourCause
2019, after raising $4M. Named a Top Ten HR Technology Solution by CIOReview.
What we did
Engineering on the platform grant administrators used to run corporate and foundation giving programmes.
Oil & gas
Acquired by W Energy Software

May 2022. JOYN was folded into a broader cloud ERP for oil and gas operations.
What we did
Engineering support on JOYN through the acquisition — AI-enabled field data gathering and hydrocarbon allocation.
Health & fitness
Acquired by Nexercise

A bodyweight training app with on-demand coaching and no equipment required.
What we did
Mobile engineering. The client's own words: our work had significantly fewer bugs than the existing iOS app.
AI project management
Acquired by MyProteus
Sharktower
February 2022, having raised £400K.
What we did
Engineering on the delivery-intelligence platform.
Data science consultancy
Acquired by Accenture

2020. Accenture bought Mudano to strengthen its analytics and data transformation services for financial services firms in the UK.
What we did
iLeaf was their development partner in the years before the acquisition, engineering the data-science platform Accenture went on to buy.
Infrastructure & utilities
Acquired by Ipsum Group

February 2017, as Ipsum's very first company investment — the deal that started their growth strategy in infrastructure and utilities services.
What we did
We built their asset inventory ERP, and an augmented reality system for sewer inspection: an iPad application that shows a repair team what is under the ground before they open it, so they arrive carrying the right equipment rather than finding out and driving back.
Funded and scaling
Five raised the money to keep going.
HR technology
Raised $4.3M seed
Aragorn AI
October 2025, to take HR into what they call the intelligence era — agentic AI applied to hiring and people operations.
What we did
Engineering partnership on the HR intelligence platform.
Cybersecurity
Raised $37M Series B

What we did
We built Elisity Connect, their VPN client for macOS and Windows — tunnelling and privileged system-level work, done differently on each operating system, which is where this kind of product is usually won or lost.
Healthcare
Raised over $75M

March 2021. Joined the Innovators Network at the American Heart Association Center for Health Technology & Innovation.
What we did
Engineering partnership on the health-testing platform.
Health & fitness
Raised $21.1M
Crunch Fitness
2020. Later partnered with Matterport for advanced club imaging.
What we did
Product engineering for the member-facing platform.
Healthcare
$3M+ from the European Innovation Council

Partnered with Intermountain Health in 2024 to study the jaundice-screening technology.
What we did
Built the app that estimates newborn jaundice from a photograph — the first healthcare application written in Flutter, in 2018.
Recognised
Two were judged against their whole industry.
Healthcare
Named to TIME's World's Top HealthTech Companies

2025, in the first edition of the list — one of 400 recognised out of thousands reviewed. Their technology reads vocal biomarkers in real time, detecting signs of stress, fatigue, depression and cognitive impairment.
What we did
We were part of their early team, years before the recognition — building Canary Concussion and the iPad and mobile applications the platform was first delivered on.
IoT & insurance
iF Design Award, and the TDI LIVE North America InsurTech Award

2020. Partnered with insurers including Armed Forces Insurance and Church Mutual.
What we did
Engineering on the smart home platform homeowners use to monitor their Roost devices.
We did not make any of this happen on our own.
Those companies were built by their founders, funded by their investors, and sold on their own merits. Engineering was one part of it, and claiming otherwise would be the fastest way to lose the trust of anyone reading this who has actually raised money.
What we will claim is narrower and harder to fake: when the diligence came, the software held up. When the acquirer’s engineers looked at the codebase, it survived the look. And 500+ of these systems are still in production years later, still maintained by the same firm that wrote them — which is the part most vendors cannot say.
Among the 5 Elite — ESC Grant
Recognised by the Government of India for scaling U.S. operations, one of five companies selected.
What people ask about this work.
Which iLeaf clients have been acquired?
YourCause was acquired by Blackbaud for $157M in 2019, Seven Lakes Technologies by W Energy Software in May 2022, and Mudano by Accenture. iLeaf Solutions engineered products for each; the outcomes were their companies' achievements, but the code passed acquisition due diligence.
What was iLeaf's actual role in these companies?
Engineering, stated plainly and never inflated into causing the outcome. On YourCause iLeaf Solutions built the platform grant administrators used to run corporate giving; on Seven Lakes it supported JOYN through the acquisition, covering AI-enabled field data gathering and hydrocarbon allocation.
Does iLeaf work with startups or only enterprises?
Both. iLeaf Solutions has taken startups from concept to funding — Picterus raised $3M+ from the European Innovation Council — and runs enterprise systems across the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. Several clients arrived as startups and are now enterprises.
Can we speak to an iLeaf reference client?
Yes. Alongside the filmed testimonials from Biotecnika, SellByOwner and Dripbl published on this site, iLeaf Solutions can arrange a reference conversation with a client working in a comparable sector or at a comparable stage. Ask a solutions lead when you book.
